Cape Byron Medical Centre Launches Allied Health Service

The launch of ‘Cape Byron Medical Centre – Allied Health’, represents a meaningful leap forward for Cape Byron Medical Centre, and offers a compelling proposition for the communities of Byron Bay and surrounding villages.

Cape Byron Medical Centre (‘CBMC’) is now well equipped to deliver full service GP care, nursing, physiotherapy, dietetics, podiatry, therapeutic massage and acupuncture (with others to follow shortly) – in practice or via mobile or remote consultation. CBMC seeks to evolve it’s service proposition to better cater for the diverse needs of a broad patient constituency. Striking a balance between delivering exceptional acute care (i.e. being responsive to unforeseen injury or illness) and more proactive, preventative healthcare is our primary objective. CBMC is committed to delivering timely, effective and enduring health outcomes for our patients”.

Dr Tonya Coren (CBMC GP and Director) noted “We are fortunate to have been able to attract exceptional allied health practitioners, each possessing first class tertiary qualifications and commercial experience.  The opportunity to deliver truly integrative acute and preventative health care across an array of mainstream clinical modalities is now a reality for CBMC and its patients. Our patients now have the luxury of choice – to avail themselves of the services of individual practitioners or a fully integrated team, conditioned to work as one.  We believe that it’s a fair expectation that patients, as health service consumers, can take comfort in the knowledge that they have a strong team in their corner, working collaboratively with the patient’s best interests at-heart”.
